Possibly the hottest night of the year so far produced more dancing than I could ever imagine at Luci & Micheal’s evening reception!
The mercury was tipping 30 degrees as I entered the driveway to Lanwades Hall. The speeches were running late and I could see the guests sitting very hot and uncomfortable in the breakfast room.
It looked like it might turn into one of those evening where everyone escapes to the slightly cooler air outside leaving me with a quiet dance floor….how wrong could I be?
Lanwades is only a small venue and the room’s panelled with dark wood. The only real choice of setup in there is the Classic White. Believe it or not, just the one pole of lighting instead of the usual two is more than enough to fill the room!
Setup complete, and it’s time for the first dance (Everything by Michael Buble). I’d been given a very small list of preferred music just to give me a steer on how Luci and Michael wanted the evening to go with very few “Do Not Plays”….it was party time.
Now bear in mind the heat of the day, I wasn’t expecting great things….the photo’s tell the story better than I can with words. There were even guests dancing in the car park!
I even managed to get a Great Aunt onto the dance floor who’d assured me that she didn’t dance!
I must have done a good job because a couple of days later, the following review appeared on Google
