What a wedding to start the 2024 wedding season! Catherine and Ben’s evening reception will be one to remember for a long time!

The venue? A small and cosy pub in Barley near Royston. The log burner was fired up in the little room I was to be based in, and space was at an absolute premium.

Not to worry, I have setups to suit all venues and quickly wheeled in my micro booth. Don’t let the name deceive you, it’s as powerful as any other equipment I use and more than suited to the smaller wedding.

I could hear the guests in the dining room whilst I was setting up. It sounded like it was going to be a fun party…..and OH BOY it was.

My instructions were to bring the guests on mid-way through the first dance (Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac). They were singing from the start of the track and it took a lot of effort to repel boarders from the dance floor until the allotted time!

First dance done and dusted, and we’re off and running.

I had a small selection of pre-requested tunes from Catherine and Ben (Ben I must add is a MASSIVE Simply Red fan!), the rest of the evening was to be the decision of their guests. And what a playlist they managed to put together on the night:
